Samsung may discontinue the Galaxy Note phone series, sources say. According to Fox Business news, there is a chance that the tech giant will be discounting its one of the premium phones in 2021 because of the lack of demand for exclusive smartphones due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“At present, the South Korean tech giant does not have plans to develop a new version of the Galaxy Note for 2021, three sources said, declining to be identified as the plans were not public.” Fox Business added.
The article also mentioned that one of the sources said the Samsung foldable phone’s next version will be compatible with the stylus, and the company plans to sell the stylus separately. Another source has mentioned, the company is looking to put development effort into the foldable phone range rather than Note.
However, ET News reported that one official from the smartphone industry said: “It is likely that there will only be one model of the new Note series that is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2021.”
Samsung Galaxy Note was a major breakthrough in the market back in 2011, and let’s hope the company will have some mercy on its one of the most marketed phone series along the way.
