Howdy, tech-readers, it seems iPhone 12 models might not include a charger or earbuds, and you will have to buy the power adapter and the EarPods separately.
According to MacRumors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a research note that iPhone 12 production cost has increased due to 5 network support, and to avoid the shipping cost, and bring the new iPhone price to its iPhone 11 lineup, Apple might sell a 20W power adapter separately.
The new adapter is similar to the existing 18W adapter in the store, 20W adapter to be USB Type-C, and fast charging as well. Removing EarPods and the charger seems to be the solution to reduce the cost.
Also, the research note says, Kuo thinks that Apple will stop adding a 5W power adapter with the 2nd-gen iPhone SE later this year. However, the current generations of 10.2-inch iPad, iPad mini, and iPad Air will still receive the 12W power adapter in the box.
