Apple releases iOS 13.5.1 – Patching out kernel vulnerability used by Unc0ver jailbreak

Apple released iOS 13.5 update less than two weeks ago, and a surprising patch update has released on the 1st of June to fix some kernel vulnerability in iOS 13.5. 

The iOS 13.5.1 update was so quick and clean, it appears the main goal of this update is to fix the kernel vulnerability used by Unc0ver jailbreak.

It’s obvious why this patch was so quick when Unc0ver jailbreak noted that the latest iOS software can be jailbroken, Apple could not get past that fact since users will have the ability play with their newest devices as they want. However, it’s better to fix this kind of vulnerabilities before they become big security problems.

How to update?

Settings -> General -> Software Update

This will not be the last update before iOS 14. The word is Apple is working on something called iOS 13.5.5 with their beta developers. However, there is a chance that could be the final iOS version before iOS 14.
