Facebook has launched a new feature calls Lock Profile that enables Indian users to lock their Facebook profiles. One of the main reasons to introduce this feature is that more privacy concerns that women have in social media.
The new Lock Profile feature prevents the ability to zooming into profile or cover photos as well as sharing, downloading for outsiders (People who are not in your profile friend list).
Also, This feature will change your past public posts to friends only, therefore, people who are not in your friend list will no longer have the ability to see any public posts you have posted in the past.

To enable the new feature:
- Navigate to your profile
- Tap more (under the profile name)
- Then tap “Lock Profile” (under the view as)
- To confirm Tap “Lock your profile”
After you enable this feature, an indicator is added to the profile to identify that this profile is locked.

“Lock Profile” feature has been rolled out in India and it will be available for all the users in the coming weeks.
